Charlie and I love to preserve memories. We document life's big and small moments with photo and video, and we cherish the memories from our family members as well. That's why we've come up with Legacy Films. It's such a special way to preserve your loved one's life story!
What is a Legacy Film?
A Legacy Film is a video interview of your loved one sharing about their life. They talk about their childhood, their memories from going to school, meeting their spouse, starting a family, their hobbies, and so much more. It's completely tailored to the person and what your family wants to hear from them.
What do you need from me?
We pride ourselves in making this process seamless and hassle-free for you. It's not a big time commitment - we'll only need about 3-4 hours of your time throughout the entire project. Here's how it breaks down:
1 hour: Once you decide you want to do a Legacy Film, we meet with you virtually to discuss your loved one or yourself! This helps us to get to know the person so we can formulate the interview questions. We take notes, ask you questions, and learn all about this special person!
2-3 hours: The interviews last an hour or two, depending on the package you selected, and we typically need 30 minutes to set up our gear and 15 minutes to tear it all down.
That's it! We write out the interview questions. We bring all of our camera gear. We conduct the interview. We edit the video. At the end of the process, you'll have a beautiful piece that you can share and cherish for years to come.
Who should we do this for?
Legacy Films can make a great fit for the adults in your families. For example, a recent client of ours decided to create a Legacy Film about her Grandma (who is turning 96 in August!!). The client asked her cousins if they wanted to split the costs with her, and they loved the idea! All of the cousins contributed and surprised their parents with this gift. Now all of the adults in their family have this beautiful video of their Mom, talking all about her life and theirs.
